Junior Achievement Aims Big

by Julie Good

Morgan Dennehy is the new District Manager for Junior Achievement in Central Missouri serving several counties throughout the center of the Show Me state. The mission of both Junior Achievement and Dennehy is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed through experimental, hands-on learning opportunities that span the educational spectrum from Kindergarten to 12th grade. With each program being rooted in their three pathways – Financial Literacy, Work and Career Readiness, and Entrepreneurship, community volunteers that are equally as passionate about the mission can help teach lessons and deliver shared experiences to the students. Junior Achievement aims big and seeks to positively and monumentally impact the lives of the youth that they come into contact with. The organization finds success in their desire to reshape the perception of education in young people, as well as by providing successful role models for them to be mentored by. Morgan has moved through the Junior Achievement program from her time as a participant to an instructor to now the District Manager. She’s passionate about ensuring the success of the kids in her community and is doing all she can to promote that in her city through Junior Achievement.
