MOST Policy Initiative promotes long-term health, sustainability, and economic growth for all Missourians by connecting scientific expertise with policy making. Founded by three graduate students from the University of Missouri in 2019, MOST has already provided short, free, easy-to-access and understandable research to Missourians on well over 200 policy topics. In addition to providing science policy literacy statewide, MOST also works closely with legislators to inform them about the potential use of scientific information in building policies. As Fall 2022 sets in, MOST is already working closely with lawmakers to provide research as they draft bills. They’re also in the process of hosting several public events, like roundtables about important topics and federal laws, according to Brittany Whitley, Executive Director of MOST Policy Initiative. MOST is elevating evidence-based decision making to improve lives all throughout the state of Missouri. mostpolicyinitiative.org
